Continuing Education Requirement: All Utah electricians need 16 hours of state-approved CE per 2-year license period — 12 hours core education, plus a minimum of 4 hours on NFPA 70E safety.

Note: We’re unable to provide CEUs for Utah Contractors (license numbers ending in 5501 or 5551). Per Utah Code 58-55-302.5, Contractors must complete their CE through an in-state approved provider — 6 hours required per 2-year cycle, with at least 3 of those hours live.

License Renewal: Approved Utah coursework must be finished by November 30 of each even-numbered year. Renew through the Utah DOPL Board website.

Questions about your state’s continuing education requirements should be directed to your state board.

As mandated by Utah, your completed CE hours are reported to the state automatically on our end, with submissions processed each Thursday.
